Did her bear grow?

Because I know that everyone has been on pins and needles wondering about the results.

We had planned to let Maisie’s gummy bear stay in water overnight but Maisie was so excited to find out what had happened to the bear after soaking all day that when we returned home after gymnastics we decided to cut her experiment short and record the results.

IMG_0383eMuch to Maisie’s delight her gummy bear did grow.

IMG_0384eHmmm… Look at this measurement.

IMG_0385eWho was correct with her prediction?  Maisie!

IMG_0387eComparing her “control” and “candidate” gummy bears.

IMG_0389eCollecting more data.

IMG_0392eRecording her findings.

IMG_0394eEating her “control” bear.

IMG_0397eThen she ate the “candidate.”

IMG_0402eA little odd on the mouth feel…but she ate it anyhow.  Maisie really enjoyed our little science experiment and she learned a little bit about osmosis.  Maisie’s excited to do many more science projects.  Love a girl that loves to learn.

No odd mouth feel here.  These Oatmeal Coconut Raspberry Bars have a gorgeous mouth feel and taste delicious too.  Click on the picture to be taken to the recipe.Oatmeal bars[2]

  1. What a fun science experiment! Especially when you get to EAT the control and the candidate. :) Maisie's hair is adorable with the feathers in it. She is unbelievably cute - but you already knew that.
