Camp in

IMG_0194eMaisie decided to take two of her gymnastics mats, put them on end and create her own little fort in the middle of the living room.  She picked a great spot as it’s right under a huge skylight so she says her fort has a great view.  As you can see, Maisie stocked her new abode with all the essentials.  She decked this out last weekend and asked that I not take it down for a while.  I agreed and she’s been enjoying almost every day.  This past week she not only played in her fort but she’s enjoyed doing her homework in there and she says it’s a great place for doing some reading.  One thing Maisie will not do in her new fort is sleep…because sleep only happens snuggled next to Mama and no way is Mama spending a night on the floor in a sleeping bag!

Since I have no new recipe tonight I’ll tempt you with a little food p0rn from the past.  If I’m not making Blacksmith Pizzas, I’m making this Roasted Tomato, Fresh Mozzarella & Pesto Pizza.  Click on the picture to be taken to the recipe.IMG_4862

  3. The camp in looks so fun. One of my favorite things is watching my kids use their imagination like when they build a fort, play school, whatever!
