Celebrating with TOPs

This morning Maisie celebrated her birthday again at the gym but this time with the girls on her TOPs team.  The no-picture cupcakes from yesterday made an appearance again today and just like yesterday there’s no real cupcake picture but just like yesterday, the girls loved them.  They also really liked the pink zebra wrappers that we used for the cupcakes because pink and zebra patterns are hot at the gym…plus they matched Maisie’s leotard today.

IMG_1076Maisie and her TOPs teammates after practice, ready to enjoy their cupcakes.

IMG_1065eI arrived at the gym a little before the end of practice so I got to see Maisie working on her press handstands.  Her record thus far is five in a row without falling or allowing her bottom to touch the ground.

IMG_1067eThat’s half of one, now to come back down, not allowing her bottom to touch the ground or have her thighs rest on her arms so to complete one press handstand…then to do it all over again and again.

Maisie’s off to celebrate her birthday this afternoon with her girlfriends who aren’t on either of her gymnastics teams or in school with her, she’s one social little girl.

I promise another new recipe very soon but enjoy this delicious one from the past and perfect for this time of year, Pumpkin Blondies.  You know the drill, click on the picture to be taken to the recipe.IMG_7572
