Hanging with my girl

Let me start with, Maisie had a great first week at school.  When I asked her what she thought about being back at school and with her friends, she said, wonderful and awesome.  What more could I ask for, a happy little girl at school.  Now if we could get her sleep back in order, life would be just grand.

Last night after gymnastics practice I had to run an errand but we had a bit of time so we went out for one of Maisie’s favorites, lo mein.  Because it was right around the corner from where we were going we ate at Tin Drum and I had my favorite, Masaman Curry, YUM!

Big things this weekend as Maisie has her first gymnastics meet of the season.  She is over the top excited as am I and I’m hoping that she has good fun and does as well as she did when she rocked her mock meet.

No new recipe today as Eammon’s been away on business this week so other than making another batch of Nutella Crêpes, I really haven’t been cooking for just Maisie and I but if you’re looking for something to make, check out some of my recent recipes posted on Cook Lisa Cook including: Mango Lassi, Stir-Fried Asparagus with Water Chestnuts, Ginger & Cashews, Curried Roast Chicken Pieces with Spicy Sweet Potato & Carrots, Grilled Corn & Bacon Pudding, Oriental Chicken Salad, Potato Salad with Bacon, Coffee Crusted Steak, Home Style Chicken Curry, Watermelon FrostyMango Gazpacho, Toll House Double Stuff Oreo Brownies, Long Beans with Walnuts, Blacksmith Pizza, Rhubarb Crisp, Laksa, Math Book No Bake Cookies, Aloo Gobi, Mint Lassi, Red Curry Chicken, Lamb Curry, Grilled Corn, Avocado & Tomato Salad with Honey Lime Dressing, Baked Egg Cups Two Ways, Thai Peanut Salad, Holy Guacamole, Cantaloupe Agua Fresca, Wallaby Darned, Piggy-Out Cookies, Wicked Good New England Lobster Roll, Long Beans with Garlic, Super Simple Summer Shrimp Salsa Salad, Grandma’s Teriyaki Steak, Watermelon Tomato Gazpacho, Red Chinese Long Beans with Peppers & Red Curry, 24-Layer Crêpe Cake Fig & Watermelon Salad, Grilled Chèvre & Fig Panini, Spicy Asian Cucumber Salad, Grilled Prawns, Spicy Brown Sugar Bacon, Kicked Up Piggy-Out Cookies, Pesto Pita Pizza, Cilantro Lime Chicken and Nutella Crêpes.

  1. I am so envious of you getting to eat out with Maisie like it's no big deal. It's total chaos right now when we try with both girls. I think I have a few years to go before I'll be able to say, "Let's stop for lunch" and not begin to have heart palpitations.

  2. Have a blast at your first meet of the season Maisie! Looking forward to hearing all about it!

  3. So many great things going on. Looks like a great dinner. I love when I get one on one time with my kids. It is great.
