Another week passes

I don't know where the time has gone but getting online lately to blog has been near impossible. I think a combination of little Miss Maisie activities, wireless issues, a lingering migraine, a bout of ongoing vertigo and being just too darn lazy to take the time to post about sums it up.

So, what's been going on since my last post? Last Wednesday and Thursday Eammon was in NOLA for work, eating at K-Paul's and hanging out at Pat O'Brien's, so Maisie and I were on our own. Trixie was in a funk so we decided that Wednesday night we'd go out for Malaysian food. Both the dinner and the company were wonderful and we're so happy that Trixie suggested dinner. Thursday morning was our Parks & Rec. music class. Neither Maisie nor I enjoy this class as much as our Music Together class but it does get us out of the house, engaged and with other parents and children, two more classes and we're done.

Saturday we attempted to get Maisie's passport but the queue was just too long so that has to wait for another day.

dedication Sunday we attended Emily's dedication and then enjoyed a nice luncheon that Daphne and Greg hosted.

Girls All the little girly-girls in attendance, Emily, Maisie, Kailee and Amelia were looking adorable but as you can see from the piccie, Maisie was having no part of a posed picture with the other girls.  I don't know what it is but every time we try to sit Maisie down for a posed picture she freaks out and screams. Maybe someday we'll get a posed picture of her with a smile on her face.

With the weekend over, Monday brought a day full of errands which was no fun for Maisie. She was less than happy going from the car to the stroller or a buggy over and over but we both managed to survive the day. Since Monday was really not a good Maisie day I really focused on her Tuesday with lots of playtime in the morning and an afternoon at the playground with one of our neighbors. Wednesday was our Music Together class and we planned to go to the park in the afternoon but vertigo won out so we ended up doing playtime at home. Wednesday night also brought about a new first, one that will hopefully become the norm, Maisie slept through the entire night without waking even once!! So here we are back to another Thursday and Parks and Rec. music. Where does the time go??

Congrats to all the families who received their referrals this week. Maisie and I loved seeing all the cute little faces.

  1. Shoot, I'm amazed you can post at all with the schedule you keep :). I love hearing about your weekly adventures with Maisie.

  2. That picture is priceless. Poor Maisie. Her dress is so cute. All of them look adorable.

  3. What's with the Vertigo? Go and have that checked out... that worries me, Lisa.
Love the pic Maisie yelling her head off.... it's priceless.
    Get well.

You know, when she screams like that, she's starts to resemble the line of your eyes, nose and mouth. Now let's figure out who she looks like when she's smiling....

  5. Yeah! Maisie slept through the whole night! That is great news!

You are definitely keeping plenty busy!

  6. I just love the pictures of Maisie her in cute little dress with her friends, while not happy. I wrote Sonia too about how cute these pictures are of all of the girls. Looks like you are busy with the mom thing, which is a great thing!

  7. Maisie's saying...
"Momma, I'm not a piece of meat, you know! You can't keep putting me on display! Now get down here and play with me!!!"

Even with a scrunchy face, Maisie is gorgeous!
