Maisie’s first visit from the tooth fairy

IMG_4667eMaisie awoke to tell me that she heard some bells tinkling last night while she slept and she thought that it must have been the tooth fairy.  She quickly opened her box and was delighted to find that the tooth fairy had made a visit last night and took her tooth.

IMG_4670eShe loved that the tooth fairy left her a heart shaped dollar with a flower on the front.  Maisie said that the tooth fairy must really love her as she left a heart.  Because she loves the heart she doesn’t want to unfold or use it so I told her that she could keep her special heart dollar and that I would give her one which she could save or spend as she wants.

Maisie’s been a happy girl today showing off her little gap and telling her tooth losing tale to anyone who would listen.  Now she’s trying to wiggle her other teeth anxious for the next one to come out.

Yesterday I posted one of Maisie’s favorite soups, Thai Chicken Noodle Soup and Maisie did enjoy slurping noodles through her new gap.  Today another one of Maisie’s favorites and one that soft and easy to eat with loose or lost teeth, Pork Dumplings with Rice WrappersMaisie “safe” dumplings that are delicious for everyone.  As usual, click on the link or the picture to be taken to Cook Lisa Cook and the recipe.
