And we're off!!

FCCbbq Tomorrow morning bright and early Maisie and I board a plane to Utah. We're heading out a few days early to meet up with some of our Utah friends before everyone else flies in for the Great Utah Bloggy Bash Reunion which is happening this coming weekend. I'm over the top excited to see so many friends again and to see all the babies, well that's the best part!!

It's been a busy and rough week coming off our vacation. Maisie has been Velcro child and Mama is her person (see the grip she has on my blouse.) For some reason she wants very little to do with playing on her own, playing with her friends, being with Eammon, walking on her own two feet or doing anything which doesn't involve me holding or carrying her around. Every joint and muscle in my body hurts and I can only hope that once in Utah she'll be so excited to be with the other children she'll give my poor old body a rest from carrying her. On top of being sore and tired I'm also totally at a loss for which day is which and which end is even up. Eammon and I were married eight years ago (Sept 16) on my Mother's birthday, perfect right, never forget Mom's birthday? Yep... that is until you forget your Anniversary too...OY Mommy brain has taken over more than I've realized.

I have managed to get a few things accomplished once Maisie's asleep. Remember the freezer picture from last year at the top of this post? Well this year too Eammon has a freezer full of food. On the menu for this trip: Chicken & Mushroom Pies (2), Seafood Tikka Masala (1), Walnut & Cheddar Stuffed Pork Chop(1), Spaghetti Bolognese (4), Orange BBQ Glazed Pork Chops (3), Curried Shrimp (2), Loaded Chicken with Red Potatoes (2), Chicken Quesadillas (3) and in case he gets sick of all my wonderful home cooking there's a package of hot dogs, precooked bacon and a loaf of bread. Hopefully Eammon shouldn't go hungry while we're away!

Finally, I'm not ignoring you!! I'm having email problems, not receiving many that should be coming through. By the number of phone calls I've received over the past couple of weeks, I realize that it's happening more than I even thought. If you've sent me an email which I should have in some way responded to, and I didn't, please call or leave a note on my blog.

Off to finish packing and getting the house in order. Next post, hopefully with bloggy bash piccies!!

  6. Oh man I am DROOLING on my shoes over that menu. How on earth did you think of all that?! How did you get it done. It sounds delish. By contrast, I had a few microwaved chicken fingers and a couple of grapes for dinner. Yeah I'm living high on the hog... ;-)
