Spring Break in Naples

image (5)e After our stop in Clearwater to visit with Winter we headed south to Naples.

image (14)eThe first three days in Naples Maisie & Brooke went to a local gym for a few hours each morning where they had fun practicing gymnastics with the team girls and Cole attended the gym’s camp.

image (12)eWhile the children had fun at the gym Sophie and I did a bit of shopping and enjoyed some nice lunches together.

photo (23)eAfter lunch we all made our way to the beach where we relaxed, played in the sand and surf and walked the beach.

image (8)e After spending all afternoon on the beach the children especially, loved going from the beach to the pool and hot tub before heading up to the condo for dinner.

image (2)e It was a really nice and relaxing week with friends.

photo (17)e Sophie took lots of wonderful beach pictures on Sunday, our last day at the beach so this post is heavy with those pictures, mostly of my girl.

image (10)eMaisie, though timid at first with the waves and water, by the end of the week couldn’t get enough of being in the ocean.

photo (10)eYou can take Maisie out of the gym but you can’t take the gymnast out of Maisie.

image (11)eMaisie attracted a bit of attention with her gymnastics.

photo (20)e One day Maisie and I walked down the beach and she walked on her hands for a good 40 to 50 feet.  She was surprised and delighted when a whole group of people who had been pointing and watching her, cheered and clapped when she came down from her hands.

While away my Secret Recipe Club recipe posted.  This month I made the most delicious Fruit, Nut & Poppy Seed Chicken Salad.  I’ve never been a chicken salad lover but this recipe has made me a convert…well at least for this recipe as it was beyond wonderful.  Check out the recipe by clicking on the picture.

  4. Where does Maisie get all that energy? If only you bottle some of it up and send it to me! She looks stunning on the beach.
