Whose night out?

photo (8)e Saturday night was Parent’s Night Out at Maisie’s gym and sort of spur of the moment I thought it would be fun if maybe Briana could join Maisie and then the adults could have an evening out together.  A quick call to Lisa & Doug, a big huge YES from Briana that she wanted to join Maisie and the next thing we knew, the girls were spending the evening at the gym and the adults were gorging on sushi followed by relaxed and uninterrupted conversation over coffee.  It was a fun night for bigs and littles alike.

I’ve made these Guinness Braised Short Ribs a few times before and I recently served them to Eammon for dinner and as always, they were fall-off-the-bone delicious.  I thought that with St. Patty’s Day coming this weekend I’d repost this recipe as it would be a perfect meal for the holiday.  Just click on the picture to be taken to the recipe.

  4. What fun!!! I'm trying to think of the last time we had dinner out with friends - with no children present...and can't come up with a single time. Maybe I'll make that a goal for this year. :)
