The Art Barn

IMG_9121e This morning Maisie and I met up with Kathy & Chani at a cute little place called The Art Barn.   It’s a little farm with lots of animals that the children can pet and a barn where they do little art projects.

IMG_9128eMaisie wasn’t feeling 100% today as she had been up numerous times during the night as her nose was completely stuffed up and she just had difficulty breathing.   Maisie had a decent day and did her best not to be overly moody and miserable but had she slept better I think that she would have had an even better day.

IMG_9134eAfter their time at horseback riding camp I wasn’t surprised that both girls gravitated to the horse and grabbed some brushes to groom him.

IMG_9133eMaisie sporting her new demonic smile.  Lately every time I ask her to smile she shows me this evil grin.  Chani of course is just looking sweet.

IMG_9136eAfter time in the barnyard we took a little tractor ride around the farm.

IMG_9140eFollowed by time in the art barn where the girls made watercolor paintings of a rooster.  The girls enjoyed their time at the farm but after petting the animals, going on the tractor ride and doing their art project they were thirsty, hungry and done.  So we headed out for some lunch and then we went back to Kathy’s house where the girls played and Kathy and I relaxed and chatted.  It was a nice day with friends.

  1. You guys have the cutest places for kid outings. If it weren't for that dreadful heat, I might consider relocating. Ha ha. Linlee would LOVE something like the Art Barn.
