Difficult to believe, but this is my 100th blog post!!
Just to show that I am not a total slacker, I am showing off my weekend project. After talking for months about needing to work on Baby S's room, I finally got myself motivated. I cut, sewed, stapled, hammered and glued this weekend as I made and installed Baby S's valence and curtains. One step closer to having the room ready for her arrival!

Wow, you did a fantastic job. The curtains are too cute!
ReplyDeleteToo cute! When can you come over and do my room?
ReplyDeleteOh wow, it is so pretty. The valance is great. Baby S will be able to enjoy this for years!
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the room it is a special time.

ReplyDeleteVery cute. I love the giraffes! You did a great job!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable corner of the room, that is so darn cute!! I love the giant stuffed animals!!! Good job on the sewing!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am quite pleased with myself for doing this, I didn't think it possible. The valence is made out of the pink solid board insulation, which I cut and glued together. Then I covered it with batting and then the fabric, all of which I stapled to the back of the boards. Each valence weighs less than 2 pounds. Hopefully, crib assembly is next!
ReplyDeleteAlright Lisa! You rocked this weekend. That valance looks so cool. Just love it. Oh, and the huge stuffed jungle animals just make me grin. Awesome job. Now when are you getting on a plane to help me with our nursery? :-)

Creative Lisa! Wow!!! I love, love, love your nursery!!!
ReplyDeleteFrom one sewer to another, you did a great job on the cornice board. Are the animals printed on the fabric or did you paint those on with a stencil? It's adorable.
