Today Maisie enjoyed a spa-tastic birthday party with seven of her girly-girlfriends.
Spa goodie tubs for the girls. Flip flops, mirror, face towel, cupcake bath fizzy bomb and a floral headband to keep and use at the party.

The spa girls with their completed mani/pedis, facials and make up. Happy, relaxed and gorgeous.
Dining room set up with cupcakes and candy, candy, candy! I purchased Maisie’s gluten, egg and dairy free cupcake and made cupcakes to match for everyone else. Other than the “other” cupcakes everything served at Maisie’s party was allergy safe for my girl. She loved not having to worry and ask if things were safe and especially loved not being different.
Candy, candy candy and all Maisie “safe”! (photo by Lisa F.)
Enough pictures, when do we get to eat some of this candy?
Happy birthday Maisie Miao Miao.
Time to dig in! (photo by Lisa F.)
Briana managed to pack the biggest goodie bag of the group and she was proud of her bigger-than-her-head sized treat bag.
Maisie enjoying Nik-L-Nips.
Gap-toothed April enjoying all the sugar.
First signs of the impending sugar coma.
All that remained after the girls ate and filled their take-home bags.
Alyssa stayed after all the other guests had left and the first thing the girls did was to go and play in the gym but then they decided to open Maisie’s gifts. Alyssa made a little crown for Maisie which said “Queen of Gymnastics” so sweet!
The day and the sugar really kicked in and the girls were happy to make their own little relaxation area and watch a movie.
Maisie said that her spa party was the best party ever! I’m so happy that she enjoyed it and had such a wonderful day. A big thank you to the ladies from Jola’s Joyful Events who did a wonderful job making all the girls feel special and running a fabulous spa party. Big thanks to all of Maisie’s girlfriends for sharing her special day.
Today’s spa party was the last of Maisie’s birthday celebrations but she did have a good week celebrating with her gymnastics teammates at the gym and her classmates at school. On Maisie’s actual birthday Maisie had her little party at school, passed out treats at gymnastics and then came home to open presents. Maisie has been asking for a real, video and still camera for months so she was thrilled to see that my parents got her the perfect one. She has had a blast playing with it each day. From us Maisie received a bike, a new leotard and some chalk for her bar. Maisie loved all her gifts.
She then enjoyed a dinner of her favorite, noodles! Instead of cake Maisie opted for a leftover Marshmallow Pop from the ones I made for her and her classmates.
For Maisie’s birthday I wanted to send in something special for her and her classmates but I didn’t want to have to worry about Maisie’s allergies and have her having something different so I looked in a different direction and decided to make Marshmallow Pops. Let me tell you, these were a huge hit with my girl and we both loved them so much we made them not only for her classmates but also for her spa party friends. Super easy and can be made to fit any occasion. Check out the recipe…or really the directions, over on Cook Lisa Cook.
