Second play date of the year

We’re trying to pack in the play dates before Maisie returns to school next Tuesday.  Don’t even ask why we’re still out on break, it’s just crazy the way the county messed around with the school calendar this year.  Even though Maisie’s at a private school, it tends to pretty much follow what the county does for the school year.  Needless to say, Maisie started her Christmas break on Wednesday, December 21 and returns to school on Tuesday, January 10, almost three weeks off.  Between our two weeks in Aruba and Christmas break, by the time Maisie returns to school she’ll have spent only two days out of thirty-nine in school…Should be interesting trying to get back into the swing of our regular routine.

So while Maisie is off we’re making the best of her time trying to get together with some of her friends.  This morning after Maisie’s gymnastics practice we picked up her teammate Alyssa and brought her home with us for a play date.  The girls had a lot of fun playing with one another.

IMG_2935eThere was fun with Play-Doh.

IMG_2947eMaisie’s panel mats turned my dining room into an animal corral and dining fort.

IMG_2949eThere were a few rounds of Twister.

IMG_2944eWith two gymnasts in the house there was of course bar time.  Right side up and…

The girls had a good time playing together and Maisie was sad to see her friend go home at the end of the day but she’s looking forward to seeing her again tomorrow at practice.

  2. I love to watch your sweetie having fun with her friends! I think I can hear the giggles through your pics!

Our kids are off school until Monday of next week but they went to school until the 23rd so it's only 2 weeks, just a late 2 weeks!

As a piano teacher I'm loving the extra time with Hannah though! :o)
