Gotcha ~ Five years a family

I can not believe that it’s been five years since a scared, timid, pensive and very serious wee little Wan Chun Miao was placed in my arms.  I swear that every year I say the same thing and here I go again, I can’t believe that it’s been five years already and that its only been five years.  The time since Maisie joined our family has flown by but on the other hand, I barely remember a time before Maisie.  Every year I love my girl more and more and couldn’t imagine our lives without her.

We don’t make a big deal out of Gotcha/Family Day but it’s fun that we are always away on holiday having fun times together.

In 2008 I was so sick that I totally forgot to take a picture as I spent all my time sleeping in a chaise on the beach in Aruba, bad Mama!

On a completely unrelated note, tonight for dinner we enjoyed one of my favorite soups, Tom Yam Ghoong.  Yesterday I made a huge double batch so my freezer is now stocked.  Now this winter when I get a craving for a hot and steamy bowl I’ll be all set.  Click on the picture to be taken to the recipe.
